Corporate Maintenance Centre
Once a corporation is created it has legal obligations that it must respect to stay compliant with corporate laws, including annual corporate filings. Corporations must typically submit update filings when changes or updates occur. Corporations are also required to prepare internal records of certain decisions.
Corporate Supplies Centre
Corporations are legally required to maintain records of important corporate documents (its certificate of incorporation or letters patent, articles of incorporation, by-laws, unanimous shareholders agreement, minutes of meetings and resolutions of the shareholders, among other information). In some jurisdictions, a corporation that fails to comply with this obligation may be found guilty of an offence and liable to pay a fine. These records are typically kept in what is called a “Minute Book”.
Canadian Trademark Centre
A trademark is a word, a symbol or a design used in association with your business and its products or services. The best way to protect your business name is to register it as a trademark with the government. Once registered you are the presumed owner of the trademark and are best equipped to protect from misuse and imitation.
U.S. Trademark Centre
As trademark rights are protected within countries, you can apply for both Canadian and U.S. trademark registration services. Prior to submitting an application, it’s recommended to perform searches to ensure its availability. You can perform free searches on the trademark database or more advanced searches.
